I spent 15 years in the technology industry, working for and with Fortune 500 companies, before stepping away from my career to focus on raising my family.
Now, with my kids about to graduate, I found myself drawn back to technology — but I came back to a very different world. Technology had become part of nearly everything we do: booking a flight, making a dinner reservation, managing photos, connecting a phone to a car, accessing an account, using rewards points, communicating with family and even figuring out what to watch on TV.
Today's younger generations are digital natives. They grew up with technology in their hands, and much of the digital world is now designed by and for people who instinctively understand how it works.
